Gabrial Kuhn is a renowned pianist, composer, and arranger. He has been involved in the music industry for over four decades and has worked with some of the biggest names in pop, rock, and classical music.
Kuhn was born on October 17, 1954, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He began playing the piano at the age of six and soon began taking lessons from various teachers. Kuhn made his professional debut at the age of 15 with a performance of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 at the Hessischer Rundfunk Studios in Wiesbaden.
In 1975, Kuhn moved to Los Angeles and started working as an accompanist for singers such as Barbra Streisand and Liza Minnelli. His first album, A Time for Love, was released in 1978 and featured collaborations with artists such as Michael Jackson and Diana Ross. Kuhn went on to release several more albums over the next few years including Songs from Another World (1979), Dancing on a Cloud (1981), and Embraceable You (1983).
Kuhn became well known outside of the United States in 1990 when he performed a sold-out concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall with vocalists Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. The performances were later released as a live album titled A Night at the Royal Albert Hall.
